The French expression « Entre chien et loup » refers to a specific, more or less long moment at the fall of day when one can no longer distinguish clearly the shapes and movements, when one can hardly tell the difference between the real and its shadow, between the physical presence and its ghostly apparition, a moment that opens up imagination to a universe inhabited by chimeras.
This turning point between day and night is an allegory for the in-between, for hybridisation, a gap in time, in space and in thought, a particular state of presence in the world that Luisa Figini, Luzia Hürzeler, Eun Yeoung Lee, Samoa Rémy and Rebecca Sauvin explore through videos, drawings, installations and ceramic works.
