Jérémy Chevalier, Nicolas Cantillon
The opening starts with a performance by Jérémy Chevalier and Nicolas Cantillon at the Halle Cargo CFF held within the framework of the Antigel Festival at 6 PM and continues at the Villa Bernasconi.
Rock music is one of the main components of the work of the visual artist Jérémy Chevalier, who was incidentally a rocker: his videos, installations, objects bring to the fore the gestures, the codes, the spirit and tools of the entertainment industry. With humour and mockery, he does not omit the derived and undesired effects, such as mishaps and other accidents.
As a part of the Antigel Festival, for the opening of the exhibition Reverse, he asked Nicolas Cantillon, dancer of the Compagnie 7273, to choreograph him in a performance bearing the same title as the exhibition: Reverse. Together, they elaborated a work that revolves around burlesque cinema of the 1920s.
